HISTORY

Mr. Patrick Williams, the owner of Columbus Antiques has worked in the antique business since 18 years of age. With over 56 years of experience as a qualified appraiser, and as a previously appointed regional director for the New York city area’s International Society of Appraisals, Patrick Williams is Columbus’ go-to expert for knowledgable and fair evaluations.
Columbus Antiques was founded in Columbus, Georgia in 1959 and has had locations in New Orleans and Beverly Hills. The shop reopened its doors in 1990 after Mr. Williams and his family moved back to the Columbus area from Laurel Canyon, California. The building, now serving as the central hub for treasures rich in history, was once an emporium inhabited by convenience stores, furniture shops, and a mortuary. After a series of wall demolitions, the previous spaces became Columbus Antiques, the home of Columbus’ most beautiful, historical and original antiques from all over the world.
The shop prides itself in its rich history, unique items, and quality pieces. Patrick Williams Columbus Antiques is one of the oldest continuously operating antique businesses in not only the good state of Georgia, but the Southeast corner of the United States. If you are seeking knowledgable service, fair prices, and pieces abounding in history and originality, Columbus Antiques is the place to go.
